's cheryl hurd joins us in walnut creek tonight. cheryl? >> well, raj, police say that the woman was kidnapped from a parking lot in this business park and it was 7:30 last night and it was dark just like this. and no one heard her scream. >> it is very poorly lit. and i feel pretty safe living in walnut creek, but now i'm not so sure. >> reporter: cheryl feldman works in the same business park where police say two men abducted a 57-year-old woman. the attack happened on the 300 block of north widget lane. >> before she got into her car, the men accosted her, blindfolded her, and tied her you. they put her in the back seat of the car. >> reporter: the two men then drove the victim around the city for several hours, looking for atms to withdraw money. >> we know they went to a number of different locations, where the suspects did get some money from some of her banking accounts. >> reporter: after about four hours police say they drove the victim to the oakland hills near hiller highland and tunnel road. they left the victim and the car there. she was able to free herself. she wen

a morning, excessive rainfall rates, gusty winds still effecting us. here you can pick out the coverage out there. you will notice we are seeing changes in the north bay. the rainfall rates tapering after as you can see but still steady rain for santa rosa, around the area as well. as we shift the maps down here you will notice more activity for the central portions of the bay, heavier rain around san francisco as you cap pick out, a moderate cell moving through and covering the whole east bay. in fact here you can see more activity around the livermore area. we will continue to move the maps and show you ax in the southern half, pacifica, los gatos and san jose and morgan hill and tighter to the santa cruz mountains that is the concern of course, a rough mourning all day long for highway 17 for the summit and still seeing some moderate to heavy rainfall here as well. so once again the wider perspective here as you can see across the regions the main bulk of the action is drifting moving south and east and that trend will continue so we expect a change over the next two to three hours with

police, swat police ended a standoff with a wanted man by using flash bang grenades. there you see windows were shattered at this home near holly park. the standoff involved the suspect accused of injuring a police officer by ramming a patrol car during a chase yesterday afternoon. police lost track of that man until someone called the police hours later. >> later that evening at about 8:30 p.m., police got a tip that the same suspect was in a residence on the 100 block of appleton. >> the standoff started about 10:45 and there you see police arrested the man. he had spent time in federal prison and has connections to gangs in san francisco. >>> san jose police were called out to a fire at a home where marijuana plants were found growing inside. the police did not issue any citations because they sate person at the home had a medical marijuana card and was growing the marijuana legally. he had about five or six plant that were found in the garage. it was a small fire. it did burn part of the garage though. firefighters were able to put it out and nobody was hurt. >> problems wit

you for waking up with us. traffic and weather certainly topping our news this morning. let's go to steve for the very latest. how does it look? >> there are some areas that looks okay. there are other areas where it's coming down like crazy. give yourself extra time. on the backside of this. it looks like there is a little bit of a break. we've had reports of decreasing rain to the north the cloud cover is not moving through. there could still be a big-time enhancement. there is really big-time rain especially vacaville to fairfield, antioch, brentwood, oakley. we'll take a closer look coming up. here is tara. >>> yes, we have a lot of spinouts, some mud slides to report up in the sonoma county area. flash flood warning in effect up there until 5:-- 5:22. there are so many parts of the roadway flooded out. too many to mention here. right now this is a live look outside. you can see that it is wet out there. it is extremely dark too. so definitely go below this speed limit. 680 at the sunol grade you can see traffic is moving along. coming up in a little bit we'll have an update

killed in the south bay will be laid to rest today. matt keller joining us live with more on the service and the update on the investigation there to the case. >> reporter: yeah. i checked in with the san jose police department spokesperson for the update on this case. they are still search for a second suspect or at least that's what was happening all this week as they released a sketch on that expect now hee mailed me back and said per the homicide unit we aren't confirming or denying any new information. that came after i asked them if an arrest had been made. >> the man was shot and killed last week. one of the suspects a 26-year- old was in court wednesday. police say he and another man robbed four businesses, murdered a 22-year-old in a carjacking and participated in a shoot out with two officers one of the officers was hit and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. willbanks was arrested the next morning. officers released a sketch of the second suspect, a 20,000- dollar reward is being offered for his arrest. the funeral for the victim is being held this morning at 11. we wi

saturday, sunday. stormtracker 4 we're watching the rain fall and were used to the green. the yellow is indicating heavier rainfall but it is heavier in the north but not as much in the south bay. and some of green you through in sunnyvale, cupertino, milpitas and the lalmadden valley and the heavy rainfall is sometimes to the santa cruz mountains. and generally light through san francisco. and along the coast but as i mentioned the heavy rainfall is right. for marin county hill was for west marin, would incur, san rafael, catching some of that yellow card and the h ills and the live look at the span of the san mateo bridge and the core is working its way on the shore. the heaviest will be north. shower activity early. however there will be a break but there is another system, the second storm system for the saturday evening that will bring more rainfall for a saturday morning. the first storm is pretty much onshore but still heaviest over the ocean. storm no. 2, will be near the afternoon and evening. the futurecast showing snowfall there could be 6 in.-12 in. for locations at past

spots are still flooded. cbs 5 reporter da lin shows us that includes a stretch of the great highway tonight. >> reporter: they had to shut down the great highway because of standing water from lincoln to slope. this traffic signal is buried in 7 feet of sand. the high winds blew the beach sand on the road. a combination of heavy downpours and high winds flooded streets and knocked out power around the bay area this morning. >> it was pouring down rain. >> reporter: high winds brought down this large tree limb in saratoga. pg&e officials say this 28-foot section shut down traffic on thelma avenue and knocked out power to about 200 homes in the neighborhood. pg&e crews hope to have electricity here restored by 7:00. same problem in pacifica. pg&e crews say 7 outages in the coastal city darkened about 1200 homes and business. >> we are the first guys to get wind right off the ocean. so it's more gusty than you get over the hill or even in san francisco. we're like the front line as far as that's concerned. >> reporter: some small business owners had to shut down their stores. >> hardwa
